NIKA PRESENTS AWARD FOR SPORTNIK LETA AND SNAPS SELFIE WITH SLOVENIAN PRESIDENT, BORUT PAHOR

Nika presented an award during Sportnik Leta, the prestigious Slovenian award show, which recognizes accomplished athletes and airs on RTV Slovenia. She presented the award for Slovenia’s best female athlete of the year 2019 to Janja Garnbret. As Nika’s family have been pioneers in establishing and solidifying dance as a respected and recognized sport in Slovenia, she was well qualified to present the award. During the star-studded event, Nika chatted with the President of Slovenia, Borut Pahor, and snapped a few selfies with the leader, later posting them to her Instagram. President Pahor then shared one of the photos on his personal Instagram profile, co-signing Nika’s “#selfieoftheyear” hashtag. In his caption, he sent his best regards to Nika in her career and expressed pride in her as a Slovenian-born star.
